So here we are. I had read about the Day Zero Project a few years ago and thought it sounded interesting, but it wasn't until my best friend brought it up last month and suggested we do it together that I seriously considered creating my own list of goals. The concept behind the Project, in case you're not familiar with it, is to create a list of tasks that can realistically be completed but should require some amount of work and push you beyond your normal bounds. The tasks must be specific (i.e. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. They settled on 1001 days, because a year is not always enough time to accomplish a larger project.
I function best with to-do lists, so this is like a giant 33-month long to-do list. I love it! Each item on the list has a purpose in my life... to make sure I do something that needs to be done, to push me beyond my comfort zones, or just to add some fun! I may go back and talk about the backstory of some of the tasks, but we'll see about that as I go along.
So, once again, here we are. Day one on a journey of 1001 days. If nothing else, it should be interesting...
